Magno Fibers LLC has developed and patented a new ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene fiber (UHMWPE). We are now in the process of commercializing that product which has applications in protective body armor, marine applications, healthcare products, cable and roping, aerospace, and a variety of composites used throughout the commercial marketplace.
The Magno UHMWPE fiber is up to three times stronger than any other commercially available polyethylene fiber. This revolutionary product will be available within 24 months.
What is Ultra High Molecular
Weight PolyEthylene Fiber

Ultra High Molecular Weight Polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber is a type of high-performance synthetic fiber made from polyethylene with an extremely high molecular weight—typically between 3 to 6 million g/mol. It’s sometimes also referred to by brand names like Dyneema® or Spectra®.
The long polymer chains in UHMWPE result in superior intermolecular bonding via Van der Waals forces. This gives the fiber its exceptional strength and durability.
Key Characteristics:
- Incredibly strong: it’s one of the strongest fibers in the world (Our UHMWPE is up to 60 times stronger than steel on a weight basis)
- Lightweight: Very low density (~0.97 g/cm3), so it floats on water.
- High impact resistance: Very tough and durable.
- Low friction: Extremely slippery, like Teflon.
- Excellent chemical resistance: Resists most acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.
- UV and water resistance: Can withstand harsh environments.
