Magno Fibers LLC Innovators in UHMWPE Fiber Technology

Magno Fibers LLC has developed the world strongest ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber. The strength of UHMWPE fibers is measured in units of break strength called grams per denier. This represents the break strength of a fiber. The higher the break strength, the stronger the fiber. Competitive UHMWPE fibers can be made up to 40 grams per denier break strength. Some isolated samples of competitive materials may reach 45 to 50 g per denier break strength.

Magno Fibers LLC has developed UHMWPE fibers which have been tested by third-party independent labs with measured break strengths up to 110 g per denier. Internally, Magno Fibers has tested our UHMWPE fibers and shown break strengths that exceed 120 g per denier.

The higher the break strength, the stronger the UHMWPE fiber. Our proprietary and patent-pending technology allows for much stronger structure materials, protective armor, and a whole host of improved industrial and commercial products.

Below is an image comparison of the Magno Fibers LLC UHMWPE fiber compared to a leading competitor’s UHMWPE fiber. The image on the left is a leading competitor’s UHMWPE product and the image on the right is the Magno Fibers LLC UHMWPE fiber. These images were made using a scanning electron microscope.

The competitor’s fiber has a break strength in the 40 to 45 g per denier range. The Magno Fibers LLC UHMWPE fiber pictured on the below right exceeds 90 g per denier in break strength.

As seen on the below right image, the competitor’s fiber has numerous defects in the fiber. These defects are the weak points of the fiber and cause the fiber to have a lower break strength than the Magno Fibers product. On the right, the Magno Fibers product has no visible defects. This makes for a stronger UHMWPE fiber which allows us to exceed a break strength of 100 grams per denier.

In addition, the Magno Fibers UHMWPE fiber has a diameter of approximately 1/3 of the diameter of a leading competitor’s product. A smaller diameter fiber means the fiber has a higher strength-to-weight ratio and a higher break strength. Magno Fibers LLC is capable of reducing the diameter of our fibers even further, meaning future products will have even higher tensile strengths than our current product offerings.

Our stronger fibers can be used to make stronger, lighter, end-use products. When weight, strength, and performance count, Magno Fibers UHMWPE fiber is the best solution available in the market.

Magno Fibers LLC is also working on improving resins, and fiber manufacturing and treatment techniques to further improve the strengths of finished products made with our revolutionary UHMWPE fiber technology.
